Programming line-up to feature ‘Food all night, fun all day’
Gusto TV, Canada’s new Food & Lifestyle specialty channel, is pleased to announce highlights of its programming line-up, following the channel’s launch on Wednesday, December 11, 2013.
The independent media broadcast will offer exciting new programming to viewers, through TV and subscription video on demand service, as well as the convenience of TV Everywhere, including broadband to computers, tablets and devices.
Gusto is Food All Night, Fun All Day. Gusto TV will air prime time cooking and culinary travel shows every evening – plus fun and exciting lifestyle, home, fashion, health and wellness shows throughout the day.

Donna Hay Fast, Fresh, Simple: Australia’s favorite celebrity author, food stylist and magazine editor creates delicious meals using her own clever short-cuts and tricks of the trade. With her relaxed approach to food and sought-after signature style, Donna shows that every home cook can prepare beautiful and great-tasting meals without any of the fuss. Weeknights (Monday – Thursday) at 7:30 p.m. back-to-back weekend episodes starting Saturday December 21 at 10:00 p.m. and Sundays at noon.
Martha Stewart’s Cooking School: Martha shows viewers how to be a star in their own kitchen. Focused on the ultimate kitchen essentials, from perfect roasting and poaching to braising and blanching. Weekdays (Monday – Friday) 8:30 a.m.; repeats at 6:30 p.m.
Martha Bakes: Martha shares her very best secrets to give home bakers the tools and tips they need to create the finest desserts and baked goods, all from scratch. Weekdays (Monday – Thursday) at 7:00 p.m.
Julia Child The French Chef: Join cooking legend Julia Child as she hosts the pioneering series “The French Chef.” One of the first cooking shows to appear on television, it debuted in 1963 and ran for a decade. In the show, Child introduces American cooks to French cuisine using recipes from her best-selling cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Gusto TV will air the original black & white series in primetime, uncut and without commercial breaks. Premiering December 11th at 7:00 p.m. (launch). Weeknights at 6:00 p.m. to follow.
My Kitchen Rules: Real food, real people. Australia’s favorite home-cooking show features aspiring chefs competing in kitchens across the country. A Down Under culinary competition that’s wowed audiences around the world. Each team takes turns transforming an ordinary home into an instant restaurant for one pressure cooker night. It’s state versus state, plate against plate, as teams of two attempt to out-dine and out-wine each other to see whose kitchen rules. World Kitchen: Host Nici Wickes visits the world’s top culinary travel destinations in this fast-paced contemporary series. Secret Removers: U.K. movers/decorators take over from homeowners as they move into new digs. In each episode, a crack team of designers hijacks a family’s belongings and moves them into their new home. But there’s a twist – not everything will arrive with them. My Fair Wedding: Celebrity “Wedding planner to the stars” David Tutera guides ordinary people to a better wedding experience – just three weeks before the already fully-planned event.
