April 7, 2014 1:18 pm

Mark your calendars ladies and gentleman — the lifelong popular Rant Maggie Rant brings their Celtic fusion to the National Arts Centre on April 11. Rant Maggie Rant appeals to traditionalists as the collaboration achieves their goal in taking traditional Celtic music as their foundation, then liberally and unapologetically colouring outside the prescribed lines. Essentially having fun!

Rant Maggie Rant covers music from the seven Celtic nations: Ireland, Scotland, Cornwall, Wales, Isle of Mann, Galicia(Spain) and Brittany(France) as well as from Quebec and Canada’s East Coast. The ensemble is effortless through their transitions. They spontaneously swift from Irish jigs to Galician munieras, from Scottish marches to Breton an dros, motivated with Latin and Mediterranean rhythms. Their rhythm is impeccable as they blend contemporary compositions with traditional tunes and include some surprising twists here and there.

What I’m trying to say is you will rant to every human and animal you encounter after you attend the Rant Maggie Rant performance. The show will begin at 7:30 and admission starts at $25. Buy your tickets to this captivating event NOW: http://bit.ly/1muVCG2 .
