A November Night of Dance at Pat Clark Community Center, November 24

Watch as talented performers dance to the beats of their own drums at a free showcase displaying the technique and artistry within the Ottawa International Dance community. Various styles and forms of dance will be portrayed, providing an evening of fun and inspiring entertainment.


Guess How Much I Love You and I Love My Little Storybook Shenkman Arts Centre at Harold Shenkman Hall, November 25

Shenkman Arts Centre is putting on the perfect show for the child in all of us. This Saturday, they will be showing two whimsical adaptations of beloved children’s books: Guess How Much I Love You, and I Love My Little Storybook. Come see characters like Little Nutbrown Hare, the bunny with so much love to give, come to life on stage. Bring the whole family! The kids will love it and so will you. Created by the Mermaid Theatre of Nova scotia, the show has direction and stage design by Jim Morrow, music by Steven Naylor, and narration by Beau Bridges. Get your tickets now for only $20! The show starts at 4pm.


European Soundscape at Parkdale United Church, November 25

Could your life do with a musical interlude? This Saturday check out Parkdale United Church’s European Soundscape concert for a taste of classical music! The show features clarinet soloist Shauna McDonald in Rossini's Introduction, Theme and Variations. You’ll also hear Brahms Symphony No. 4 and Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol. Come experience classical musical history in the beautiful walls of the Parkdale church! Adult tickets are $15, students and seniors $10, and children 12 and under get in for free. The show starts at 7:30 pm, and you won’t want to miss it!


Baz'Art - Annual Holiday Arts Market at Shenkman Arts Centre, November 25-26

Shopping can get a little crazy this time of year, but it doesn’t have to. This Saturday and Sunday, The Shenkman Arts Centre is hosting their annual Baz’Art — a Holiday Arts Market that’s full of fun and unique creations, all made by hand! Discover both new and returning creators: local and regional artists, all selected by jury. These top-notch artisans will be showing you the best of their ceramics, jewellery, wearables, paintings, photography, and more! Don’t miss this intimate and fun seasonal opportunity. On from 11am-4pm, and entrance is free!


Music for a Sunday Afternoon at National Gallery of Canada, November 26

While it probably won’t be a lazy, rainy Sunday, you can still float away on a cloud of intimate chamber music inside the NAC. Floating along with you will be the NAC Orchestra.


Cheese Soirée at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, November 28

Time to get cheesy at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum as a soiree devoted to all things cheese is set to tantalize your tastebuds. Sample from a wide range of artisan cheeses and accessorize with crackers, baked goods and other gourmet goodness from local vendors.  They’ll also be cooking demos so perhaps you and your newly stocked fridge will get some meal ideas! Ticket includes a free glass of wine, perfect to wash down all those samples!
