5th Annual “A Taste for Hope” Returns to Delight Foodies and Raise Funds

A Taste for Hope, Shepherds of Good Hope’s signature fundraising event, returns for a fifth year of on the evening of March 22, 2017. This year’s event will be held at the Horticulture Building, Lansdowne Park. This exciting fundraiser brings together 20 of Ottawa’s top food and beverage venues under one roof, each preparing a dish for guests in attendance, with all funds raised to benefit Shepherds of Good Hope.

Tickets provide unlimited access to all 20 participating venues on site. The event will feature live music throughout the evening as well as an impressive line-up of live and silent auctions items, including a chance for two to dine with 2016 Grey Cup MVP and former Redblacks quarterback Henry Burris and wife Nicole, who will be in attendance at the event.

“This is the event of the year for our city’s food lovers. It is a great way to sample exquisite food from well-known favourites and hidden gems in Ottawa’s culinary scene,” says Neil Leslie, Director of Philanthropy at the Shepherds of Good Hope Foundation. “The funds raised at this event go towards helping us provide comprehensive, round-the-clock services to the more than 450 men and women who sleep in our facilities each night. We are grateful for the ongoing support we receive from the participating venues, our event sponsors and of course, all those who attend the event!”

Featured food venues include: Essence Catering; Atelier; La Maison Conroy; Whalesbone; The Albion Rooms; Feast + Revel; North & Navy; Café My House; Beechwood Gastropub; Black Tartan Kitchen; Les Fougères; Danny Mongeon - Chef at Large; The Westin Hotel; Ottawa Streat Gourmet; Sutherland Restaurant and Café; Top of the Hill Bakery; Pelican Seafood Market and Grill Featured beverage venues include: Beau’s All-Natural Brewing; Top Shelf Craft Distillers; Imperial Coffee and Services; Creekside Wines.
