Bayne's Best Pick: Bad Tags

Each pet has a unique personality and finding products that perfectly emulate these personalities can be extremely difficult. After searching relentlessly for the perfect tags for her six pets, Bad Tags owner and founder Cristen decided that the only way to find the perfect tags was to make her own—and that is exactly what she set out to do. Bad Tags was born from a series of hilarious tags originally designed for Cristen’s own dogs, but soon expanded to a massive one-woman operation so other pups around the world could be in on her pet's cute canine-style. All tags are designed, marketed and shipped by Cristen in Minnesota.

Bad Tags are bright and colourful and come in a variety of cute and humorous sayings! Not only are they cute, but they are also extremely practical. These metal tags spice up the boring ID tags you can get at most pet stores. You can add up to four lines of info on the back of the tag, in case your BFF ever ventures out too far and gets lost. They also come equipped with a durable silencer to dampen the jingle of multiple tags, and are also glow-in-the-dark so your pooch is easier to spot at night! With each design or saying, you have a huge variety on how to further customize the tag. Does your dog look better in green or pink? Customers have the choice between 25 different colours to choose from to make sure the tag is just right for their pet!

Bad Tags was created out of love for one’s dogs, a love which extends to other dogs saved by rescues in the USA and now to a rescue here in Ottawa! April 30th is National Adopt A Shelter Pet Day, and to help build awareness for all the animals awaiting a forever home, OLM has partnered with Bad Tags and Freedom Dog Rescue (the rescue from which I was adopted from) to create a unique new line of tags specifically FDR’s adoptable pups. From April 24th through to the 30th, OLM will be posting a special Pet of the Week each day that will feature one of Freedom Dog Rescue’s adorable adoptable dogs sporting their stylish new Bad Tags tag! Each tag has a rescue-related saying like "Your Future Bestie" or "Adopt Me" in a eye-catching array of colours. Keep an eye out for these pups showing off their tags around Ottawa!

Have you rescued a pup, or have a pet with special needs? Bad Tags also has a collection of tags to help others understand your pet's needs, or tags that simply show off how loved they are in their new life!
