bands and more. Check, share and discuss

Colonnade Pizza and Restaurant - 280 Metcalfe St.

Family-owned Colonnade Pizza opened its doors in 1967 and is still one of the most popular and loved pizzerias in Ottawa. They are known for their variety of cheesy, decadent signature pizzas and friendly hospitality. Though they now have six locations across the city, we recommend their original location on Metcalfe. Since its just minutes away from the OLM office, we’ve totally stopped by on lunch breaks.

Fiazza Fresh Fired - 86 Murray St.

If you’re spending the day at the ByWard Market, stop by Fiazza Fresh Fired for a bite! This pizza joint is “build-your-own” style, letting you choose exactly how you want your pizza from the crust thickness, type of cheese, and of course toppings. The pizza is baked in a wood fired oven, given it an authentic, smoky flavour. With its great atmosphere and impressive drink menu, it’s a great spot to drop by with friends.

Tennessy Willems - 1082 Wellington St. West

Not only does this place have a cool name, but the pizza is pretty darn good too! With an emphasis on locally-sourced, high quality ingredients, you can expect nothing less than top-notch freshness and flavour when you have a Tennessy Willems pizza. We recommend trying out some of their more unique pizzas that include toppings like duck confit and wild boar sausage. Along with their high quality menu, the restaurants sleek, minimalist decor makes it a food Insta-blogger’s dream.

Cumberland Pizza - 152 Nelson St.

Cumberland Pizza proves that you don’t always have to be super fancy to be good. This humble, family-owned joint is simple, affordable and puts emphasis on flavour and comfort. Their chewy, gooey pizza pies will have you salivating just by the smell alone. We recommend the decadent Cumberland Special, topped with pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, olives and bacon. Don’t want to leave your house? No worries, they deliver!

Louis’ Restaurant - 181 McArthur Ave.

Located in the Vanier neighbourhood, Louis’ Restaurant is another casual, family-owned staple in the city. Specializing in simple, diner-style comfort food, their pizza is one of their hottest selling menu items. With their pillowy-soft, thick crust, topped in a generous layer of cheese and various classic toppings such as pepperoni, mushrooms and green peppers, we recommend this spot when you just want something that’s no fuss and affordable.

Score Pizza Rideau - 50 Rideau St.

Score Pizza just opened earlier this year, but is fast becoming an Ottawa hot spot! From their “Build-Your-Own” option to their selection of delicious signature pizzas, it is the perfect place to drop by with friends after a long day of shopping at the Rideau Centre. Are you vegan? Don’t fret–Score Pizza offers a to-die-for vegan cheese that looks and taste just like mozzarella!

Roberto Pizza - 348 Preston St.

Located in the city’s beautiful Little Italy neighbourhood, Roberto Pizza will make you feel like you’ve been transported to an Italian village with every bite. While many restaurants are about fusion and modern spins on dishes, Roberto is all about authenticity, serving up pizza with traditional, Italian toppings such as fresh mozzarella, prosciutto and soppressata to name a few. We recommend this spot for a romantic date night!

Johnny Farina - 216 Elgin St.

If you’re looking for gourmet, stop by Johnny Farina! Gorgeous atmosphere, a great wine menu and, of course, mouth-watering pizza options! Where else can you find pizza topped with freshly steamed, in-shell mussels? No need to pick between seafood or pizza for date night, have both! We recommend you make a reservation before you visit, because they’re always busy.

The Grand Pizzeria and Bar - 74 George St.

Another gem in the ByWard Market, The Grand Pizzeria and Bar is perfect if you want not only good pizza but to take in the last of the summer sun! They have a beautiful large patio which creates a chill and relaxing atmosphere perfect for a get together with friends or family. All of their pizza options are top notch, but we recommend their unique breakfast pizza that’s offered on the weekends during their brunch hours.

Anthony’s - 1218 Wellington St. W. & 753 Bank St.

Chosen as one of Food Network’s top 12 pizzerias in Canada, Anthony’s is pretty darn special. With not one, but two locations in downtown Ottawa, it is one of the most popular pizza spots in the city. Anthony’s pizza menu is divided into two parts – “red pizza” which are pizzas with a tomato sauce base, and “white pizza” which are ones with a white, cream sauce base. So whichever you prefer, you have tons of delicious options!
