Celebrate local Algonquin Artist Claude Latour at intimate vernissage

Celebrate the works of the Algonquin artist, Claude Latour with Ottawa Life Magazine! Latour has recently returned from the west coast with an exciting new body of original mixed media works entitled “Makwa’s Return”.

Makwa’s Return will be exhibited at Patrick Gordon Framing, 160 Elm Street. Ottawa, on unceded Algonquin territory. The vernissage being held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. The show continues until October 5, 2019.

Come celebrate Latour’s artwork with live music, food and drink at Patrick Gordon Framing!

Raised in Ottawa, Claude Latour is a member of the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation through his mother’s bloodline. His rich Algonquin roots threads its way through his latest contemporary works, leaving a history of his culture.

Latour is also presently working on the Flora Footbridge project in the creation of a contemporary art bench entitled M?sz in the shape of a moose antler that will be located on the west side of the bridge come early fall.
