Are you looking to spend your money in the name of a good cause? Tonight you can do it while enjoying fun and festive workshops! December 13th from 6pm to 9pm, check out Ottawa’s “Gifts that do good” Holiday Market — and admission is free!
What is Impact Hub Ottawa? Impact Hub Ottawa is part of 102 Impact Hub organizations across the globe and is a lively and active co-working space where no two days are the same. You will find many enthusiastic professionals, non-profit organizations, artists, developers, and a whole bunch of other intelligent individuals with enterprises that seek to expand and explore their work in an open community.
This year, Impact Hub Ottawa’s Holiday Market will feature products and services from social enterprises, charities, or local businesses. Who knows — maybe you’ll discover a hidden gem or two! There are going to be some pretty cool vendors like Faunapparel, Nu Grocery, Corala Cashmere, Eepmon and Mom Friends. As if that doesn’t sound appealing enough already, they are all ethical as well as sustainable!
The Market will also organize winter time activities happily provided by Happiness Habits 613. They’ll be providing legitimately useful tips and tricks for the frosty-but-festive season! By the end of the day, you’ll be equipped with a refreshing Kombucha recipe, be able to surprise your family and friends with delicious plant-based truffles made from scratch, and know how to make your very own bath salts and much more! EnviroCentre, a non-profit organization that works to maximize efficiency in energy, will also have a workshop about being cost efficient in the cycling season.
This is the third year that Impact Hub Ottawa is hosting their Holiday Market, and this year’s focus is on the idea that there are many ways to give – such as by giving to charity! The holiday season is about celebrating the love and happiness we have with our family and friends. It’s also an opportunity to reflect on the victories we accomplish in the community, and to help those around us in need. Impact Hub hopes to bring causes to light through this fun-filled Market!
