Outstanding Comedy Series

Modern Family

Taking home its fifth consecutive Emmy win, Modern Family continues to crack us up! The family dynamics of this modern bunch are hilarious in their relatability. Don’t we all have that one family member that consistently finds themselves in outrageous situations? Modern family is on a winning streak that we hope isn’t coming to an end any time soon!

Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Vice President Selina Meyer in Veep

Veep is by far one of the most hilarious shows on the air and Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ portrayal of Vice President Selina Meyer is pure perfection. With the backdrop of anxiety-ridden American politics, outstanding writing and a cast of top-notch comedic talent, hilarity ensues effortlessly with the leadership of Louis-Dreyfus.

The Normal Heart

This heart-wrenching, tear-jerker was a must-see for 2014 that certainly deserves the honour of an Emmy award. Depicting the rise of the HIV-AIDS crisis in New York City among the gay community between 1981 and 1984, this film is bringing public awareness to an extremely significant issue. With a well-cast group of fantastic actors, including Mark Ruffalo and Matt Bomer, and a mega-talented directing team, The Normal Heart is beyond outstanding.

We were thrilled to see so many of our favourites up at the podium, though our top moment of the night had to be the impromptu kiss between Bryan Cranston and Julia-Louis Dreyfus!

Congratulations to all the winners!
