Here at Ottawa Life, we are always looking out for great things to do on a weekend! Check out some of the events that are happening right here in our city this weekend. And don't forget, love is in the air!

Carleton University, Bright Nights: Baltic-Nordic Film Festival - Feb. 12th-14th (7:00 PM/4:00 PM)
In collaboration with the Embassies of the Baltic and Nordic nations, the Canadian Film Institute presents the 6th Annual Baltic-Nordic Film Festival. The festival is comprised of films from Lithuania, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Iceland and Norway. The Danish thriller "Skytten (The Shooter)" will be kicking off the weekend film viewings on Friday at 7:00 PM, followed by the Norwegian film "Louder than Bombs" on Saturday at 7:00 PM, and ending with "The Story of the Baltic University" on Sunday at 4:00 PM.

The Diefenbunker, 3 Steps to Survival: Wine, Beer and Cheese - Feb. 13th (7:00 PM)
Nothing says Valentine’s Weekend like sampling wines, beers and artisan cheeses in the Diefenbunker! Savvy Company will be serving up some delicious treats as you and your sweetheart mix and mingle in the Bunker’s Cafeteria. We hear that a top secret wine tasting will be happening, too.

The Prescott, Murder Mystery Ottawa Presents: The Codfather - Feb. 13th (7:00 PM)
Enjoy popcorn mystery theater event in Little Italy as a cute date night with your better half! Get dressed up and get involved as you laugh, cheer and dance to this tribute to disorganized crime! And yes, complimentary popcorn is provided.

LIVE on Elgin, Elgin Street Improv Presents: Heart-On - Feb. 14th (7:00 PM)
Spend your Valentine’s Day laughing it up with your funny Valentine. Enjoy a mix of 20 improv performers from all over Ottawa perform five shows in one. We guarantee you will be tickled pink.

OZ Kafe, Sunday Love-In with JasNasty and DJ Emmett - Feb. 14th (10:00 PM)
After enjoying a romantic dinner together, spend the evening with your honey dancing the night away at OZ Kafe. Impress your date with some killer dance moves to tunes spun by extremely talented local DJs Jas Nasty and Emmett Morrison. Good, bad, happy, sad, old and new melodies are promised.
