From Casual Streetwear to Glitter & Gold, The Ottawa Vintage Show Has it All (+GIVEAWAY)

Attention all glittery girls –  and guys too. One of the most coveted fashion events in Ottawa is just around the corner. This amazing day I speak of is The Ottawa Vintage Clothing Show happening this Sunday, November 6 at the Shaw Centre from 10am-5pm. Forget everything current, because for whatever reason vintage is like the real authentic cool. There will literally be thousands of handpicked items, including accessories, streetwear, something the Real Housewives of Orange County has been seen in, or even a bridal gown (my friend got married in the dress she found at THIS show). From being an insta-famous fashionista to the average dude shopping at The Rideau Centre, there really is something for everyone.

Everything You Need to Know

When: Sunday November 6 2016, 10am-5pm
Where: The Shaw Centre (Convention Centre), 55 Colonel By Drive
How Much: $10, or if you’re under 12 free. Tickets will go on sale at the Shaw Centre at 930am on the day of the show, and I’ll be there doing some live coverage on social media so check it out because you’re going to be seeing some fabulous items darlings! Click here for a discount coupon.
Parking: You can park at the Rideau Centre/Shaw Convention Centre, but there is alternate parking at City Hall Lot, 114 Laurier Ave. West and this parking is only $2.00. Parking is also available around the University of Ottawa. Click here for a map. There’s also always O.C. Transpo as there are numerous buses available.
How to Pay: Bring your cash! Not every vendor accepts credit/debit. There are ATMs on site, but they do get very busy, which I can tell you from personal experience. You don’t want to be waiting in line while someone snatches your precious find!
Changing Room: From what I can recall there are makeshift changing rooms, so it may be just a teeny bit more complicated than how you would go about it in your average shop. I usually just strip down. Whatever. Free the nipple!

1) Contest commences 10 a.m. EST on Thursday November 3, 2016 and ends at noon, Saturday November 5, 2016.

3) The prize consists of a pair of tickets to the Ottawa Vintage Clothing Show. Prize must be accepted as awarded, without substitution and are not convertible to cash.
4) The contest is open only to residents of Canada over 18 years of age. Employees of Ottawa Life Magazine, or any of their affiliates, or any of their respective advertising and promotional agencies or contest organizations, or persons with whom any of such employees are domiciled is not eligible to enter. Decisions of the contest organizers and their representatives are final. The odds of being selected depend upon the total number of entries received. The winner will be contacted. By entering the contest the winner agrees that they are in compliance with the contest rules and acceptance of the prize as awarded. By entering this contest entrants release Ottawa Life Magazine, contest organizers, their affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives from all claims, demands, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses relating to the administration of the contest and use of the prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, property damage, loss, accident or misfortune relating to all aspects of the contest, including without limitation, the administration thereof and the use of the prize.
5) A random draw will be made by Ottawa Life Magazine in Ottawa, Ontario on Saturday November 5, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. EST to select the winner, from all eligible entries received on the contest closing date. To win, the selected entrant must comply with these contest rules.
