One World Kitchen Makes One Great Announcement

Get your forks ready! We are proud to announce that Ottawa’s own Gusto TV’s One World Kitchen is a Taste Awards finalist and it has been nominated for Best Food Program: Web in the Viewer’s Choice category!

One World Kitchen has been also named as a finalist in the Taste Awards General Awards category for Best International Program. Finalists were selected by the Academy of Media Tastemakers; a select group of food and wine editors, writers, bloggers, chefs, fashion journalists, television producers, online video platforms, mobile device providers and previous award recipients.

Gusto TV is Canada’s newest food and lifestyle channel, as well as an independent Ottawa-based company founded by industry veteran and culinary legend Chris Knight. Knight is known for his multiple award winning television series including Cook Like a Chef, License to Grill, Edible Roadshow, This Food That Wine, and of course, One World Kitchen.

A captivating and groundbreaking series, One World Kitchen stars five female cooks who carry five different global perspectives: Pailin Chongchitnant who brings Thai flavor to the kitchen, Vijaya Selvaraju who serves up some delicious Indian cuisine, Natalia Machado, an extraordinary Argentinian chef, Vanessa Gianfrancesco who adds some Italian epicureanism to the mix and, of course, Hana Etsuko Dethlefsen, a Japanese chef who has been cooking her whole life.

You can catch One World Kitchen on GustoTV nationally on Bell TV (Ch. 619), Bell Fibe (Ch. 1619), Eastlink (Ch. 644), Optik TV (Ch. 315), TELUS Satellite TV (Ch. 619) and MTS (Ch. 46).
