The Most Aesthetically Pleasing Ottawa Insta-Bloggers

Instagram is currently one of the biggest social media platforms out there and it’s obvious why. Instagram allows all of us to become photographers and easily share our snapshots with family, friends and the world. There are some users however who take Instagram to the next level, with themed feeds, such as nature, food or “black and white” for example. These users, often called “Insta-bloggers” or “micro-bloggers” often gain large followings as their feeds are inspiring, calming and pleasing to look at. Here are some of the most aesthetically pleasing Insta-bloggers based right here in Ottawa that you should check out!

Amanda Ing (@ingcorporated)

If you love everything food and travel, you need to be following Ingcorporated! Curated by Ottawa resident Amanda Ing, the feed consists of stunning shots chronicling the blogger’s love of food and exploration. One day she’ll post a photo from a ice cream or sandwich joint in the Byward Market and the next she’ll post a breath-taking scenic shot from Europe! The bold colours and high quality of Ing’s shots evoke a sense of adventure and awesome taste which we all dream of.

XOVelo (@xoveloxo)

XOVelo, curated by Ottawa-based photographer Zara, is a beautiful feed that merges travel, fashion and bicycle culture into a unique and fun aesthetic. It is basically a hipster-cyclist’s dream come true with all the quirky and colourful bikes it features and of course the people who ride them. Not all the photos are Ottawa-based, with Zara documenting cyclists, bikes and landscapes from her many travels around Canada and the world.

PreLoved Ottawa (@prelovedottawa)

PreLoved Ottawa is actually a local consignment store, but their Instagram page is amazing all on its own. If you’re in need of some fashion inspiration, this is right up your alley. The shots of each item, taken against a fresh, white background, is total aesthetic goals and makes the colours and textures of the clothing and accessories really pop. Who wouldn’t want their closet to look like this?

Curated by Canadian photographers Brendan and Max, the alt. Instagram account features gorgeous shots of city landscapes. Though originally focused on Ottawa and Toronto, the page now features shots from the photographers’ many travels across Canada and the world. There is a consistent flow to the photos and the photographers’ abilities to showcase city landscapes as having a rich beauty, just as the natural landscape does, is really cool. You’ll find yourself scrolling through their page endlessly.
