The Ottawa Home and Garden Show is the Perfect Way to Kick-start Your Spring Spirit

Get yourself sprung into the spring spirit at the Ottawa Home and Garden show this Easter long weekend; even if the weather won’t cooperate.

Returning for it’s 36th year, this Home and Garden show is guaranteed to be the best one yet. There are a ton of new features being debuted that should not be missed.

“The Ottawa Home & Garden Show will provide the expert advice and inspiration you need to tackle your spring projects both inside and outside the home,” says Robert Johnstone, the Show Manager for the Home & Garden Show.

The show not only gives advice to those who are looking to remodel their homes, but also has the resources at hand for everyone to compare and have a starting platform for renovation planning. Whether you are a professional yourself, or want to renovate your home and just don’t know where to start, the Ottawa Home and Garden Show has something for everyone.

The show will include presentations from landscape and renovation professionals including Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault, the Master Gardeners of Ottawa-Carleton, Hansen Lawn & Gardens, Welwyn Wong and the headliner of the event, HGTV’s own, Carson Arthur. The presenters will be sharing their years of experiences and expertise on how to make the most out of what you have and make it the envy of the neighbourhood.

The organizers promised new features, and they delivered. After two years in the making, the Ottawa Home and Garden show is proud to present a new addition to their festivities, Living Landscapes. Living Landscapes is over 30,000 square feet of stimulating gardens designed by a number of great companies. The 11 gardens that are featured all have their own theme with new and unique ideas to inspire everyone. The Living Landscapes scene will also include additions for the Canadian Tulip Festival. On top of catching an early glimpse of spring and getting inspired by the beautiful landscaping, there is also a chance to win a $500 prepaid Visa card! Kick off your renovation supply buying just by voting on your favourite garden at the show.

The Home and Garden show is also the perfect place to get updated and learn more about the latest trends. The show features a Micro-Loft Zen home by Bonneville Homes. The home gives a visual aid to the ideas of optimal space in a confined area and the new fad of minimal living. Check out the life-sized house model and learn more about modern home designs.

Of course the Ottawa Home and Garden show is also concerned with our planet’s future, and they are showing that by running a competition using recycled items. The Ultimate Upcycle Challenge: Planted presented by Rust-Oleum in support of Habitat for Humanity allows participants to take previously loved items and show their creativity as they produce a new piece for a different use. Following the love of spring, this year’s theme is planters!
The Ottawa Home and Garden show has something for everyone. Whether you are looking to remodel your home or your garden for the first time or just want to be inspired by the creativity of others around you, the Home and Garden show is the perfect place to spend this long weekend.
