Angie’s Showcase to introduce local models and actors to the world.
When a group of fashion and entertainment agents arrive in the Nation’s Capital later in May, all eyes will be on an impressive roster of young models and actors, looking to take on the world.
On May 25, over 1,000 agents, designers, business owners and members of the media will line a massive runway at the Canadian War Museum, hoping to uncover the industry’s next big talent. Angie’s Annual Showcase, one of North America’s top model and talent events, will feature agents from across Canada and around the world, including representatives from
New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Milan, Paris, and Tokyo.
“We are extremely excited to welcome the who’s who of entertainment and fashion to Ottawa,” says Angie Sakla-Seymour, owner of Angie’s Models & Talent. “Many people would be surprised to know how many of the faces they see on television or in magazines are from their city!”
Among those taking part in the showcase are Herieth Paul, Mallory Richards and Daria Ponomareva, three of the world’s brightest young modeling talents. All have graced the pages of countless magazines, and walked in shows for some of the world’s biggest designers and fashion houses.
On the acting front, young talents Helena-Alexis Seymour, Zachary Peladeau, John-Alan Slachta and Alex Cardillo will be in attendance, each boasting an impressive portfolio of work in film and television. The event has cemented Angie’s position as one of North America’s top modeling and talent agencies.
“Angie’s gives its model and talent participants a rare opportunity to showcase their skills in a professional and polished production in front of top scouts who can mentor their young careers,” says Patrick Baca, a leading casting director from Los Angeles. “The passion, commitment and sheer joy they show is reflected in every step they take on the runway!” adds global super-agent Paul Weber from MGM.
