A bunch of Christmas markets kick off in Ottawa this week!

The festive season is about to officially kick off in the National Capital. A bunch of different Christmas markets start this week that are sure to get you in the holiday spirit with endless food, drinks, music, artisan goods and much more. Here is a round up of some of the top ones you don’t want to miss this year!

The Museum’s Christmas Market (Nov. 28th - Dec. 1st)

The Canadian Museum of History’s annual market is back for another year of holiday shopping galore! This four-day market is hosted in the museum’s gorgeous Grand Hall and features over 80 vendors and exhibitors. Expect to find all types of goods like handmade decorations, jewelry, local baked goods and much more. It’s the perfect spot to shop for unique gifts for all your loved ones. You don’t even have to pay museum admission – the market is totally free!

Ottawa Christmas Market(Every Fri., Sat. & Sun., Nov. 29th - Dec. 22nd)

If you’ve been dying for a European-style Christmas market in Ottawa, you’re in luck! The Ottawa Christmas Market launches this year and it promises to be the biggest and most exciting event of the season! This, almost month-long, market is hosted at the Casino Lac-Leamy Plaza at Lansdowne (previously known as Lansdowne Park) and will feature over 20 different vendors selling handmade goods, food and more. The entire market will take place under a gorgeous canopy of twinkling lights surrounded by other holiday decor. Don’t miss the kickoff of the market this Friday which will feature a ceremonial tree lighting and a live performance by multi JUNO-award winning singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk!

Ottawa Farmers’ Market’s Christmas Market(Every Sunday, Nov. 29th - Dec. 22nd)

The warm weather might be gone, but the weekly farmer’s market at Lansdowne is continuing through the holiday season! The market is moving indoors, to the Aberdeen Pavilion, and will feature your fave local vendors offering up seasonal goods like holiday cookies and cakes, jams and preserves, ht beverages, and much more. Don’t miss out on the chance to stock up on some locally-produced goods to add to your holiday feast this year.

613Christmas (Nov. 30th)

Get thrifty for the holidays at 613Christmas! This special holiday edition of the monthly 613flea market series will be HUGE with a whopping 200 vendors taking over the Fieldhouse at Carleton University. Expect to find endless treasures from vintage clothes and jewelry to antique toys, locally produced food and drink items and much more. Admission is free and there’s likely to be a big turnout, so show up early to snag some unique Christmas presents for a bargain!
