Angry Dragonz (Corner of Albert & O’Connor)

Angry Dragonz is an Asian fusion joint, merging the flavours and cooking styles of South Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand and more. Some of their stand out offerings include their egg rolls, pork belly sliders, and Korean tacos. The truck is not hard to spot with it’s big red dragon on the side!

S&G Fries and Burgers (1845 Carling Ave.)

Arguably the best poutine in the city, this old school chip truck is the way it should be done. The fries are just the right amount of crispy and they have perfected the ideal gravy to cheese curds ratio. Can you say mouth-watering?!

Mexigo Cabana (1217 Walkley Rd.)

This food truck will make you feel like you’ve been transported to Mexico with its authentic dishes. From their tacos to chimichangas, the flavours and quality of the food is on another level. Vegetarian or gluten-free? No worries, give them a heads up when you order and they can alter any dish accordingly.

The name Raon, meaning “greatly pleasing, enjoyable and cheerful”, is an accurate description of this food truck’s Korean cuisine and overall vibes. Located on Bank St., between Albert and Slater, their signature dish is Bibimbap – a well-rounded rice and veggie bowl with your choice of authentic protein.

Ad Mare Seafood Truck (150 Slater St.)

While seafood and street food may seem like an unusual combination, Ad Mare nails it hook, line and sinker. Not only do they serve some of the best seafood in the city, but it’s also sustainable. Go early if you want to guarantee getting your hands on some fish and chips, since a long line is not unusual. You can order online if you don’t want to leave things to chance.

Mr. Poutine (1075A Bank St.)

If you’re craving poutine, this is the place for you. This joint offers all the greasy and delicious, chip wagon staples you love like hot dogs, fries and corn dogs, but their poutine is where it’s at! The gravy is flavourful and the fries are chunky and perfectly crispy.

Falafel on Wheels (1649 Montreal Rd.)

This vegan and vegetarian friendly spot has been on the scene just over a year and is booming. Their falafel is made from scratch and comes in sandwiches, platters or salads – whatever suits your fancy (we love it on the fattoush salad). Call to pre-order for a quick pick-up!

Meryenda Snack (1448 Prince of Wales Dr.)

Meryenda Snack was founded in May 2015 by two restaurant chefs who decided to venture out on their own, combining their unique and varied cooking experiences to bring their mutual love for Filipino food to the Ottawa masses. The menu features traditional flavours with modern twists such as adobo chicken filled rice balls, deep fried quail eggs, and delicious shaved ice desserts perfect for the summer months.

Yakko Takko (25 Hamilton Ave.)

Ran by a Cordon Bleu-trained chef of Mexican heritage, Yakko Takko’s dishes are really impressive. They’re especially known for their tacos which you can get with fish, chicken or beef. If you’re ever in the Fisher Park area, you gotta drop by for a bite!

The Caribbean Cruiser (O'Connor St. & Laurier)

Enjoy the flavours of the islands at this caribbean fusion truck! Order everything from fish cakes to jerk chicken to Bajan roti. The options are endless. They also have some really unique fare like a Jamaican-style poutine topped with grilled jerk chicken and caribbean-style tacos. The truck's regular location is at O'Connor and Laurier, but look out for them occasionally popping up at festivals and other spots around town as well.
