Pilar’s Picks: Weaves

Weaves…No! I’m not referring to the ones you sew into your hair. Weaves is a new indie-rock group from Toronto, signed with Canadian label Buzz Records. Their kalediscope sound makes them a unique group who have released some “bumpin” tracks. The collaboration consists of three men and one woman. The strong, singular female vocals pair as nice as cake and ice cream with the male vocals. They claim to be focused on mirroring pop sensibilities while evoking a visual and vulgarized experience. They are doing just that and the top music charts are definitely the result of that. Their first single Buttercup is my personal favourite. Mark your calendars because you won’t want to miss this entertaining opportunity.  Don’t forget to follow this rad band on Twitter and like their Facebook page.
