Mary F. Hawkins

Health Features Writer

Mary F. Hawkins is the author of five books, her most recent, Talk to Your Doc, The Patient Guide (Self Counsel Press, 2015).  She is also the author of numerous print and online health articles.  All of her writing has involved medical and health research so the basis of her writing is sound in its information.  She is also a fiction writer of one children’s book, and is now in pursuit of a literary agent for two novels she has written.  Mary has been a Lecturer at the University of Ottawa since 1998 in the area of Communications.  Aside from these busy aspects of her life, she gives public speaking talks on communicating with your doctor to get the best of your health care.  She is looking forwarding to writing for Ottawa Life Magazine.
