Music festivals are all about music…and fashion! Both on the stage and on the street, artists and audience members are embracing festival fashion, from Coachella to Osheaga and now RBC Ottawa Bluesfest!

For the first time, RBC Ottawa Bluesfest is launching the I Love #RBCBluesfestFashion campaign for Ottawa music-lovers and festival-goers this summer.

“Music and fashion have always influenced each other and they are finding common ground at music festivals. This year, we decided to add fashion to our line up, so to speak. It’s a natural evolution,” says Mark Monahan, RBC Ottawa Bluesfest executive director.

When you stop by the festival, make sure to check out the mobile Fashion Truck Canada and the two RBC Ottawa Bluesfest House of Fashion tents. Who knows? Maybe you’ll go home with a free designer fragrance, Bluesfest glitter tattoos or Burberry makeup touch ups! Change up your look in the VIP Big Chill, where Shear Heaven will have an on-the-spot hair salon. And if you are looking for some festival insider tips, check out the Bluesfest video series on what to wear, the best Burberry makeup looks and RBC Ottawa Bluesfest Swagbags for performers. There is also a fashion line including a limited edition RBC Ottawa Bluesfest Kania Collection by Ottawa designer Stacey Bafi-Yeboa. The collection will be available for purchase onsite and leading up to RBC Ottawa Bluesfest at Kania on York Street in the ByWard Market.

“The campaign is part of the hottest trend in the most forward-thinking North American music festivals, from Coachella to Osheaga. Music festival fans love music, but they also go for the overall experience—the fashion, the party, the lifestyle. Festival street style is all about how we interpret music and fashion trends. With this campaign, we’ll be shining a huge spotlight on that experience,” says Julie Beun, RBC Bluesfest fashion director.
