Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy is back for its 28th edition, running every Wednesday and Saturday from July 30 to August 16, and it’s not your average fireworks show. This is a full-on multi-sensory festival that brings fire, food, music, and fun together on the stunning grounds of the Canadian Museum of History.
What to Expect
The site transforms into an outdoor playground for all ages, where artistic installations turn every corner into a full sensory experience. From glowing sculptures to interactive displays, it’s not just about looking up—there’s something magical all around you.
La Plaza Terrace serves as the social hub. Grab a drink at the SAQ Bistro, then explore the lineup of four rotating local food trucks each night. Sweet tooth? Hit up Bobino Ice Cream Bar for their special creation: Le Flambô Floc—a peach slush with sparkling bubbles, vanilla ice cream, and Pop Rocks. It’s a fizzy, creamy explosion of joy.
For the BBQ lovers, La Braise is the spot. This charcoal-fire pop-up kitchen is where local chefs grill everything from tacos and hot dogs to corn, bao, and souvlaki—all cooked right before your eyes.
Need a break? There are picnic zones where you can sit back and enjoy your feast, and if you’ve got kids in tow, Les Étincelles: Tim Hortons play area lets the little ones run wild before the show begins.

A Dream Journey to Japan by Komei Co. is a tribute to Japanese culture—think cherry blossoms, ancient temples, anime and video games—all wrapped in a stunning visual and musical show.
Wednesday, August 6 – Australia
Sparks Across the Sound from Foti International Fireworks bridges Australia and Canada through music, memory, and light. It’s a cross-continental celebration from classic hits to modern anthems.
Saturday, August 9 – Mexico
Bueno Onda by Sirius Pyrotechnics delivers all the colour, rhythm, and warmth of Mexico, from bustling cities to beachside charm. It’s fiesta vibes from sky to ground.
Wednesday, August 13 – Canada
Reignite: A Symphony in the Sky from Fireworks Spectaculars Canada features a soundtrack by Gatineau’s own Mathieu Donais and Julien Boivin Provost. It’s a powerful ode to home, full of heart and sparkle.
Saturday, August 16 – Grand Finale: TV Series
Royal Pyrotechnie closes things out with a love letter to the small screen. Expect epic visuals synced to iconic TV moments—nostalgia, reimagined in fireworks.
