This Hamilton Star Has a Surprising Ottawa Connection

Hamilton, one of the most popular musicals ever, returns to the National Arts Centre this week. One of the performers, Lauren Mariasoosay, who plays Eliza, has a connection to the nation’s capital in that while she was born in Saskatchewan, she spent the first few years of her life in Ottawa.

Mariasoosay’s career is very impressive considering she has already had roles in the original Canadian production of SIX, Disney’s Aladdin and Cats.

I recently had the chance to sit down and chat with this phenom about work and what audiences can expect when they take in the live production of Broadway Across Canada’s Hamilton.
