WWE’s Sami Zayn on His Rise, His Roots, and What Comes Next — Interview
The WWE is making its return to Ontario this summer with a trio of major events across the province. Fans can catch the action in London, Ontario, on August 20 at Canada Life Place, followed by Friday Night SmackDown at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on August 21, before Monday Night Raw returns to the nation’s capital at the Canadian Tire Centre on August 24.
Even though the Ottawa event is still a few months away, excitement is already building among WWE fans eager to see sports entertainment return to the city. And if there’s one thing passionate WWE fans are known for, it’s travelling for the experience. Many from Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa will likely make the trip to attend two or even all three of these shows.
If you’ve never experienced WWE live, it’s something every fan of entertainment should add to their bucket list. The energy inside the arena is electric, and the combination of athleticism, storytelling, and spectacle creates an atmosphere unlike anything else.
I recently had the opportunity to speak with WWE Superstar Sami Zayn. Zayn is no stranger to OLM, and at this point, we should probably get him his own t-shirt.
During our conversation, Zayn said that WWE is “Something you should see once in your life” and then followed up by saying that if you do, “You’ll probably see it twice”. We also discussed his career, the evolution of his character, what fans can expect from this upcoming tour and the Montreal Canadiens’ playoff chances.
