In Makwa’s Blessings, Claude Latour, whose heritage connects him to the Algonquin of Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation, presents photo‑based works that echo the spirit of Makwa, the bear.

In addition to works created for private and public collections, Latour is also the artist behind Mōnz, a moose-antler-style bench that sits gracefully at the edge of the Flora Street Footbridge and Queen Elizabeth Driveway.
