A children’s book inspiring teamwork and diversity: Samantha’s Sandwich Stand

Childhood summer vacations often store fond memories of our first entrepreneurial success selling the “world’s best lemonade” on a scorching summer’s day. In Samantha’s Sandwich Stand, Samantha decides to sell something different: her mother’s homemade Lebanese sandwiches. But it will take supportive friends from all different backgrounds to convince customers that her sandwiches are as refreshing as lemonade.

In her first children’s picture book, Sonia Saikaley uses her skill to inspire children to believe in themselves, celebrate friendships of all backgrounds, and accept the help of those rallying around them. Saikaley is an award-winning Lebanese writer, recipient of the 2020 IPPY Gold Medal and 2020 International Book Awards for Multicultural Fiction.

Published by the Renaissance Press, Samantha’s Sandwich Stand is available online on Amazon, Indigo, or Renaissance Press.
