Cozey Comes to the Capital: Canada’s Modular Furniture Star Lands on Rideau Street

If you’ve strolled down Rideau Street recently, you may have noticed a new storefront that feels more like a curated living room than a traditional showroom. That’s because Cozey—Canada’s fast-growing modular furniture brand—has officially arrived in Ottawa.

Founded in 2020 by Montreal entrepreneur Frédéric Aubé, Cozey has quickly become a household name in the North American furniture scene. Known for its sleek, tool-free modular sofas and fast shipping, the brand is redefining how Canadians furnish their homes. And now, with a new pop-up location at 137 Rideau Street, Cozey is bringing its signature style and simplicity to the heart of the capital.

“Ottawa is one of our top-performing markets in Canada,” says Aubé. “This pop-up is a way for us to connect with our customers here and explore the potential for a permanent store.”

The two-storey space, open until January 2026, offers visitors a chance to experience Cozey’s full product line—from modular sofas and lounge chairs to washable rugs and storage solutions. It’s part of a broader expansion strategy that includes a flagship store in Toronto and pop-ups in Vancouver and New York.

At the centre of the showroom is Cozey’s latest release: the Gaia Sofa, launched in April. Designed for both comfort and flexibility, the Gaia features padded bases, high backrests, and fully removable, washable slipcovers in four elegant colours—including the new Sage and Snowdrift Aquaforte. Like all Cozey products, it ships quickly and assembles without tools, making it ideal for urban dwellers and growing families alike.

“We wanted to create a sofa that’s as adaptable as the people who live with it,” says Aubé. “The Gaia is designed to evolve with your space and your lifestyle.”

With prices starting at $1,470 CAD for the three-seater Gaia sofa—and accent chairs like the Mira and Vela available from just $280 to $370 CAD—Cozey offers stylish, modular furniture at accessible price points. Available exclusively at Cozey.ca, the brand is winning over design-savvy Canadians who want comfort, flexibility, and sustainability without the showroom markup.

Cozey’s mission goes beyond convenience. The brand is committed to customer-first service, sustainable practices, and accessible design—values that resonate with a new generation of homeowners and renters alike.

So whether you’re in the market for a new sectional or just curious about the future of furniture, the Cozey pop-up on Rideau is worth a visit.
