Calling all K-pop dance crews! The 2025 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival—co-hosted by The Seoul Shinmun Daily and the Korean Cultural Centre Canada—is officially open for Round 1 submissions. This is your chance to bring your moves to the big stage and compete for an unforgettable experience in Korea!
The top 10-12 teams will advance to Round 2, where they’ll battle it out live at the Canada preliminary round on Sunday, June 15, at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary. The stakes? An all-expenses-paid trip to Korea! That means round-trip airfare, accommodations, meals, and exclusive tours—and a spot in the Global K-Pop finals in Korea this fall.
K-pop dancing isn’t just about hitting the beats—it’s a fusion of power, precision, and personality. Known for its high-energy choreography, intricate formations, and razor-sharp synchronization, K-pop blends elements of hip-hop, jazz, and contemporary dance. K-pop dance is all about passion, performance, and that extra touch of stage charisma.
