How you can help with Ottawa-Gatineau tornado relief efforts
Following the devastating tornado on Friday September 21, many communities have been affected by the disaster. If you've been affected by the tornado that struck our region, or if you want to help, here are some ways you can do so.
Dunrobin Disaster Assistance
Donations are being accepted by the Official Dunrobin Disaster Assistance Group GoFundMe to begin disaster relief efforts. This page is specifically for Dunrobin, while other GoFundMe pages are for all areas of Ottawa and Gatineau that are affected.
Ottawa Sens & Fans Tornado Relief
Another way to assist financially is by donating to the Ottawa Senators’ fundraiser on GoFundMe.com.
Red Cross
The Red Cross is accepting financial donations which can be made online or by calling 1-800-418-1111.
Salvation Army
For those wishing to donate clothing, furniture or other household items are being advised to drop off donations at various thrift store locations or request pickup of larger items by calling 1-613-247-1435 ext. 228
The Ottawa Food Bank
Many have lost what little food they had as a result of the power outage. The Ottawa Food bank seeking donations here.
