Claudette Cain Coulas is no stranger to residents of Ottawa. The former politician won five elections and served as the popular, accomplished and dynamic three-term mayor of Gloucester before the regional amalgamation in 2001 that brought Gloucester into the city of Ottawa proper. Since then, Cain Coulas has been busy as an entrepreneur and media personality. Now she adds author to her many accomplishments with the publication of her new “Ladies Take Your Place, Leave Your Mark Politically, Professionally and Personally” that asks women “what is your dream job.”  In it, she provides a roadmap to passion, poise and power for women seeking success drawn from her own extensive personal experience.

Known for being feisty and telling it like it is, Cain Coulas remained very visible on the local scene after politics hosting a public affairs show on Rogers community television and “Raising Cain” on CFRA talk radio, while penning a municipal affairs column for the Ottawa Sun. For four decades Cain Coulas has mentored aspiring women and men to a more fulfilled life. Although she recently retired as Justice of the Peace with the Ontario Court of Justice, she remains passionate about helping women achieve the lives of their dreams.
