Ottawa’s SnowBall Gala Returns March 4 to Raise Funds for The Snowsuit Fund
It’s almost time for the Snowsuit Fund’s largest fundraising event of the year — a night that gives everyone the chance to dress up (though not in a snowsuit!) for a spectacular gala evening. SnowBall: A Cool Winter’s Eve, presented by Intega IT, returns to its original venue at 50 Sussex on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
This year, the Snowsuit Fund surpassed its all‑time record, distributing more than 20,000 snowsuits to children in need. The organization accepts new and gently used snowsuits and also purchases new ones with funds raised through community events. Thanks to a long‑standing partnership with Brown’s Cleaners, anyone can drop off a gently used snowsuit, which will be cleaned and delivered directly to the Fund.
Entirely community‑driven and volunteer‑powered, the Snowsuit Fund receives no government funding. It relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and local businesses to keep Ottawa’s children warm. As Mayor Mark Sutcliffe said last fall: “There is no better example of the community spirit of our city than the Snowsuit Fund.” All proceeds from SnowBall support the purchase, storage, and distribution of new snowsuits for families across Ottawa.
The gala brings together hundreds of guests — senior executives, professional athletes, sponsors, community leaders, and supporters — for an unforgettable evening with a powerful purpose. Attendees at this year’s SnowBall at 50 Sussex can expect:
• Thoughtfully designed décor creating a chic winter atmosphere
• Chef stations featuring gourmet offerings from top Ottawa culinary talent, including Beckta, Raphaël Peruvian Cuisine, Andaz ByWard Market, Heart & Crown, Essence Catering, Barrio, Tulips & Maple, Mādahòkì Farm, Social, E18hteen, and Pelican Seafood
• Bars serving wine, beer, signature cocktails, and mocktails
• Live music and DJ performances throughout the evening
• Experiential activations, including photo opportunities and beauty and fragrance bars
• Silent and live auctions featuring exclusive items and experiences
Since its inaugural edition six years ago, SnowBall has become one of Ottawa’s most anticipated social and charitable events. It consistently sells out and raises critical funds to meet growing community needs. Last year’s event raised $90,000, and this year’s return to 50 Sussex aims to build on that momentum with the support of sponsors, donors, and attendees.
“SnowBall is a powerful example of how Ottawa’s business community can come together to make a real difference for local families,” says John Robinson, SnowBall 2026 Title Sponsor, Snowsuit Fund Board Member, and CEO of Intega IT. “We’re proud to support The Snowsuit Fund and help ensure children across our city stay warm, confident, and included this winter.”
“We’re a city that embraces winter,” says Lauren Parkes, Board Member and Co‑Chair of SnowBall. “Providing a child with a new snowsuit means they can play outside, feel included, and experience winter like every other child.” Her Co‑Chair and fellow Board Member, Jon Sinden, adds: “Eat, drink and be merry. I encourage Ottawans to come and sample delicacies from some of the finest chefs in the city then dance the night away with friends. This one-of-a-kind cocktail event highlights the best of Ottawa with a community focus”.
Both Parkes and Sinden have seen the impact firsthand through their volunteer work at the Snowsuit Fund’s Vanier depot, where children choose their own snowsuits — often with visible excitement and pride.
SnowBall is not only a celebration, but also a meaningful networking opportunity for community‑minded leaders.
This year’s growing list of corporate and community supporters includes: Intega IT, Norton Rose Fulbright LLP, BMO Private Wealth / Nesbitt Burns, Humen Kind, Lansdowne Consulting Group, Ottawa Senators Foundation, Salon Fiorella, Ottawa Titans, Ottawa Fire Fighters Association, Brazeau Seller LLP, Rogers Sports & Media, Ottawa Business Journal, and Expedia Cruises (Westboro & Kanata).
Tickets are $250 or $900 for a 4‑pack. To become a SnowBall sponsor or purchase tickets, visit https://snowsuitfund.com/snowball-2026/.
