Seize the day: Jet It private aviation arrives in Canada

A private jet experience unlike any other has landed in Canada.

After taking off in the United States, Jet It is expanding its Harvard-studied business model. The company grew from from a single jet and two employees to a fleet of ten airplanes and a workforce of 65 in the US, and intends to grow on the same unusual but successful model south of the border to provide the same consistent, affordable, high-quality service to Canadians.

Jet It offers its white-glove private jet service throughout the country at a fixed hourly rate of $2,200 CAD, with no additional reposition, fuel surcharge, or landing fees. Jet It Canada owners can buy one-tenth to half of an aircraft and, through the Jet It day-based model, they'll have an aircraft available to them for an entire day and only pay for the occupied time at that rate.

Jeremi Austin, the director of sales and operations for Jet It Canada and a Canadian aviation industry veteran, is looking forward to the service they can provide. “Canadians are looking for a bespoke travel experience at an economical rate and access to business aviation for the entire day,” he said. "They want consistency at an expected price.” Jet It will provide that combination.

Jet It has also aligned itself with one of Canada's most widely respected national private aviation companies—Skyservice Business Aviation—for its aircraft management and operations.

"Skyservice is the premier operator in Canada with the best facilities, one of the largest managed fleets in North America and they have a focused commitment to service for the full range of their capabilities,” said Jet It’s Co-CEO Glenn Gonzales. “As an aviation company run by aviators, safety and service are our top priorities…We are honoured to have Skyservice support our Canadian expansion.”

The fleet of jets available through Jet It consist of one of the most innovative, reliable, and technologically advanced models— the Honda Jet. Combined with the days-based model, it delivers a consistent and reliable experience to each owner.

“Our value proposition is based on the simplicity, flexibility and transparency of our model.” Austin said. “It allows our owners to ‘seize the day,’ since the entire aircraft is theirs for the day and our owners simply pay $2,200 per occupied hour.”

Jet It Canada has already begun sales and expects to have its first C-registered aircraft in operation in the coming months. "The extension of Jet It operations from the US to Canada… is a game-changer,” Austin says. “The ability to travel between countries and continents [with] the comfort of a known quantity that provides consistent and reasonably affordable transportation with an industry-leading level of service is an unmatched value.”
