Bio: ?Award winning photojournalist, author and portrait photographer, Jean-Marc Carisse, (www.carissephoto.com), graduated from uOttawa, before starting a career as Official Photographer for Pierre Trudeau and Jean Chrétien. Since the 1970s, he has met and photographed every PM from Diefenbaker to Harper, every President from Ford to Obama, heroes and icons including Karsh, Pope John Paul II, Queen Elizabeth, Mother Teresa, Princesses Diana & Kate, the Dalai Lama, Nureyev, Castro, Arafat, Mitterrand, Gorbachev, Dallaire, Dylan, Madonna & The Rolling Stones, to name a few. He captured Canadian political history as it unfolded, with style and discretion. His exhibits showcased a "who's who" and were held in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Havana. Library and Archives Canada preserves 400,000 negatives shot by him. The notable alumni was recently featured in uO's online magazine TABARET under "PRIVILEGED ACCESS", the title of his coffee table book, covering Trudeau, Turner & Chrétien from 1975-2000. His photo studio/gallery/café is located at 274 Elgin.
