Friday, September 11 • LAZARETTES + RON HAWKINS • 8:00 pm
Lazarettes are a Toronto-based alternative rock outfit that blends sharp songwriting, soaring five-part vocal harmonies and driving rhythm. Renowned for their live performances and lyrics, the band released singles in the Spring of 2026 as a lead-up to their new album, following 2025’s Sweet Misery, produced by Ron Hawkins of the legendary Lowest of the Low.
The band includes five songwriters (Chris Tait, Bryce Thomas, Richard Peirce, Chris Monster and drummer Adam Warner, known for playing with artists like Jill Barber, Royal Wood, and Ron Sexsmith.
This spring, Canadian Beats says “Lazarettes continue to prove they are one of Canada’s most promising rising alt-rock acts, capable of balancing raw emotional depth with memorable hooks and compelling storytelling.” and Rrampt says Lazarettes have “Lazarettes’ Sweet Misery has serious Canadian rock swagger”
The new Lazarettes single Undertow, is a rallying cry for activation, capturing an alt-rock punk energy, urging audiences to join the battle against apathy in the face of overwhelming news cycles.

Anna Ludlow hails from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, and has been rocking the Canadian Celtic and folk scene for the past 2 decades. Entertaining with her fiddle and vocals, she captivates audiences, giving a true kitchen party experience.
Having collaborated with some of Canada’s most renowned artists, this has led her to become the principal fiddler for the Juno-nominated, critically acclaimed production DRUM, and in 2018 she became the inaugural fiddle player for the hit and Tony Award-winning show ‘COME FROM AWAY’.
Outside of theatre work, Anna is influenced by her working-class Celtic ancestry and fuses the traditional Cape Breton music of the Scottish Gàidhealtachd with a modern percussive vibe.
With over eight multi-award nominations, multiple performances on The Marilyn Denis Show, and a feature on Bell Fibe TV featuring her original music, you won’t want to miss her perform.

Arthur Coates & Kerran Cotterell are a two-man trad tornado tearing through the folk world with foot percussion, fiddle, guitar, vocals, and groove to spare. Mixing Scottish and English roots with modern flair, they deliver foot-stomping tunes, rich harmonies, and cheek and charm. Whether in a village hall or a festival field, their shows radiate connection and joy.
Winners of the Robinson Emerging Artist Showcase at Canada’s Goderich Celtic Roots Festival, they’re fast becoming one of the scene’s most talked-about acts. Their upcoming album Controlled Burn turns tradition sideways – storytelling with soul, and grooves that smoulder, spark, and occasionally catch fire.

Live & Local is a free, community-centred music series celebrating the artists who live and create right here at home, with select evenings hosted by a different local musician bringing their own sound, collaborators, and creative vision to the stage.
Seasoned performer Claire Bestland has performed at various venues like the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and the Civic Theatre in New Orleans, the Black Sheep Inn, the National Arts Centre’s 4th Stage, and Berlin’s Hebbel am Ufer Theatre. She has continually deepened her practice by seeking out (and at times studying with) musical heroes such as Roy “Futureman” Wooten, and most recently completed a period of study with Rory Block.
A highly diverse musician, her roots and passion remain with the guitar as a solo instrument of percussive rhythmic patterns, which she develops as a vehicle for innovative emotive expression.
September 19 & 20 • THE DEVIN CUDDY BAND (Son of the Legendary Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo) • 8 pm
The Devin Cuddy Band is a Juno-nominated, Toronto-based roots-country band led by pianist and singer-songwriter Devin Cuddy (son of Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy). Known for their distinctive blend of New Orleans blues and country, the band delivers a sound that’s both rootsy and uniquely their own.
Their latest album, Livin’ Hard Ain’t Easy, was released on April 17, 2026. As Devin describes it: “It’s a return to our original sound. A throwback to Vol. One, where we started. Ultimately, it is a country record, made for and about Canadians. I wrote all the songs about life in Canada—whether it be life on the road, life in love, or life having a beer with a bud.”

Saturday, September 26 • AN INTIMATE EVENING WITH TIM JOYCE AND THE RADAPAW RAMBLERS
Locally rooted in Wakefield and Chelsea, QC, The Radapaw Ramblers are a collective of seasoned musicians whose blend of country, folk, and roots rock has earned them a devoted following throughout the region. For their September 26th appearance at Motel Chelsea, the band will present something distinctly different, devoting an entire evening to bandleader Tim Joyce’s evocative original songwriting. Drawing from a rich catalogue of mature, deeply personal work, the performance promises a compelling musical journey—one that moves effortlessly between storytelling, reflection, and discovery. Accompanied by virtuoso violinist and composer Jason Hutt, these songs will be expanded through improvisation and musical exploration. A very special performance not to be missed!
