Steve Berndt Trio at Options Jazz Lounge

Join award-winning jazz vocalist/trombonist Steve Berndt for a review of original compositions from his upcoming solo jazz album and jazz standards accompanied by two of the finest musicians in the Ottawa region. Steve's two bookend jazz vocal/piano albums were enjoyed on rotation on CBC's Tonic, and the album “Déjà Vu” was chosen as one of the Top 10 2012 jazz albums by The Ottawa Citizen's Peter Hum. On top of all the accolades, his original compositions have been included in movie scores. Friday night's performance will consist of Chris Pond on upright bass, Mike Manny on piano, and Steve Berndt on trombone and vocals.

After a three-year hiatus, the Ottawa Antique & Vintage Market and the Ottawa Vintage Clothing Show return. The newly combined two-day expo will fill the 3,000-square-foot Fieldhouse with hard-to-find vintage décor, antiques, and vintage clothing. The event is a melange of everything vintage: kitchenware and barware from the seventies, mid-century modern furniture, Indigenous carvings and wool parkas, advertising and fashion art, Victorian goblets and paper mache, country pine furniture and quilts, cast iron garden items and vintage Christmas decorations, wool sweaters and blankets, mid-century and estate jewelry, leather jackets, cowboy boots and much more.

A Company of Fool’s rummage sale & silent auction

Ottawa Shakespeare performers, the Fools, are doing some Fall cleaning.
