Attention Filmmakers: Ottawa International Film Festival Now Accepting Submissions

Budding filmmakers take note — the Ottawa International Film Festival (OIFF) is now receiving submissions of your most creative works until June 30. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the event running October 15 to 19, deemed Canada’s quickest-growing international film festival.

Beginning in 2009 at the Jack Purcell Community Centre, its now grown to a full-week festival held at the Mayfair Theatre with an expanding mandate to highlight the most groundbreaking talent in Canada and the world. Categories for submissions include International Film (short or feature), Narrative Feature, Narrative Short, Documentary Feature and Animation.

Criteria stipulates that all films be original scripts that have not yet received distribution or been screened at another Ottawa film festival. Films must also be completed as of January 1, 2014. There are a number of other specifications including length restrictions. Ensure to visit www.oiff.ca for more information.

Deadline for submissions is June 30, 2014 and until May 10, the fee to enter is $25. All films must be submitted online through WITHOUTABOX.
