The Irish Society of the National Capital Region Wants to ‘Paint the Town Red’!
The Irish Society of the National Capital Region (ISNCR) is calling for Redheads and “Gingers” to get involved in the annual St. Patrick’s Parade on March 11. Volunteer, watch from the route or participate in the Parade!
The Parade starts at Ottawa City Hall and follows a route along Bank Street to Aberdeen Pavilion, at Lansdowne Park.
The annual Parade celebrates Irish culture and heritage every year during Ottawa Irish Festival and ends at the Grand Irish Party now collaborated with ISNCR partner Beau’s All Natural Brewing for the second annual Beau’s St. Patrick’s Party.
Every year the Irish Society along with other Irish organizations within the Ottawa community host a variety of events across the city embracing Irish culture.
Ottawa Irish Festival begins with the Proclamation at Ottawa City Hall by Mayor Jim Watson March 9, with refreshments and live entertainment between 4:30-6:30 pm. It offers a glimpse into what the Festival is all about.
The Rose of Tralee Ottawa Centre holds its selection on March 12.
On March 14 see World-class musicians Matt Cranitch and Jackie Daly in the pub at St Brigid’s Centre for the Arts.
The Irish Society promotes the interests of, and strengthens the Irish/Irish-Canadian community through the promotion of the Irish culture and heritage.
